A deep teal bird with a red-orange mask, wide turquoise eyes, and a bold golden beak against warm chocolate brown. This original 10×20 acrylic is a study in perfect color contrast. One of a kind.
Tommy is the color story of the whole flock. Deep teal-green feathers, a swipe of red-orange painted around each eye like war paint, wide turquoise irises, and a thick golden-orange beak that sweeps down the center of the canvas. Set against warm chocolate brown, those complementary colors do all the work.
Painted by hand in acrylic with directional, feather-following strokes, Tommy is cropped close so he fills the frame edge to edge — bold and graphic, with the same sly expression the rest of the birds share. His red-and-teal striped legs are the perfect finishing joke.
At 10 × 20 he’s built for narrow walls: the space between windows, next to a door frame, up a stairwell, or in a hallway. He also anchors a gallery wall of birds beautifully, since his warm-and-cool palette bridges the blue and the red pieces.
