A sleepy folk-art owl with heavy gold-and-blue eyes and a little sprig of leaves on its head. This original 8×10 acrylic is cozy, charming, and full of character. One of a kind.
Oly Bird looks like he’s about to nod off. A round, red folk-art owl with big drooping eyes rimmed in gold and blue, a long curling beak, and a tiny sprig of orange leaves sprouting from his head — all against a rich purple background.
Painted by hand in acrylic with bold outlines and warm color, this one has a folk-art, storybook feel. He’s part of my whimsical bird family, on the cozier, sleepier end of the flock.
He’s a sweet fit for a nursery, a child’s room, a reading corner, or a gallery wall of characters. Owl lovers especially tend to fall for this one.
Questions before Oly finds a spot on your wall? I’m just a message away.
Every bird in this series traces back to my grandfather, Dave Coleman — a Seattle jazz drummer who painted birds his whole life. Read the story →
