Penelope has presence. A tall, plum-and-periwinkle body curves gracefully to one side, topped with a punk-rock crest of spiky blue feathers. Her eyes are ringed in red, her long yellow beak drapes down across her chest like a scarf, and her legs are striped in red and gold like a pair of good socks.

Painted by hand in acrylic over a soft, sandy background washed with pale blue, she’s got a lighter, airier feel than the rest of the flock — more graceful than goofy, though there’s still plenty of humor in that face.
