From across the room it’s a tree in autumn. Up close, the leaves are hearts.

Tree of Love is a black tree rooted in the center of the canvas, its branches reaching right to the edges, with a canopy of red, orange and coral behind it. A yellow sun flares in the top corner, and the sky around the edges turns violet, teal and blue. I built the background in a lot of layers first, so you can still see hints of blue and green glowing through the red.

This is a fine-art print of that original acrylic painting. It’s a warm, happy piece for an entryway or a bedroom, and a lovely gift for a wedding, an anniversary or a new home.
