Not every painting has to be loud. This one is the quietest thing I made all summer.

Teal Escape is blush white scraped over deep turquoise with a palette knife, so the color shows through in the cracks and along the edges, like a wall somewhere warm that has been in the sun for years. It’s the piece I’d hang in a bedroom or a bathroom, the one that lowers the temperature of a room instead of raising it.

This canvas print is printed on artist-grade canvas and stretched over a wooden frame, with the painting’s edges carried around the sides the way they wrap on the original. It arrives ready to hang: no framing, no glass, no extra trip.

• Sizes: 12 × 16 and 18 × 24 inches, landscape (hangs wider than tall)
• Canvas: Artist-grade, matte finish, stretched over a 1.25 inch wooden frame, hanging hardware included
• Printed to order — arrives in about 7–10 business days

The original is a 9 × 12 acrylic on canvas, and it is still available: see the original Teal Escape.
